Yes, I have a road map and I'm available for school visits! I have visited both primary and secondary schools, usually speaking to pupils from year 5 through to year 8.

Some possibilities:

• A 1-hour talk. These are always lively and entertaining. I read a couple of brief extracts from my books, and talk a bit about the inspiration behind them. This will then lead into a more general discussion about how I write, why I write, tips for budding writers and so on.

• A workshop with a group of up to 30 pupils (1/2 a day). I can discuss this with you in advance, and tailor it to your needs.

• A full day, combining talks and workshop.
  

I am a member of the Society of Authors, and charge the recommended minimum £300 for a full day, or £200 for a half day, plus travel expenses (I live in London).

Teachers, please note: I will bring copies of my books to sell. I will really appreciate it if you do a little bit of advance planning; please let the pupils know a bit about my books in advance, and suggest they bring in spending money. I guarantee they will appreciate it!
